Are you interested in HTML 5 and what’s coming down the pipeline but haven’t had time to read any articles yet? Brad Neuberg has put together an educational Introduction to HTML 5 video that goes over many of the major aspects of this new standard, including:

* Web vector graphics with the Canvas tag and Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG)
* The Geolocation API
* HTML 5 Video
* The HTML 5 Database and Application Cache
* Web workers

In the video we also crack open the HTML 5 YouTube Video prototype to show you some of the new HTML 5 tags, such as nav, article, etc. It’s chock full of demos and sample source code.

    What about 3D …
What about 3D graphics, hardware acceleration support and hi-def video playback? Could you create a full and solid First Person 3D game app from this that doesn’t have any timing related issues?

  2. KnightChatX Says:

    One thing I like …
One thing I like about Flash is Adobe has very straight forward and quick to work with tools with plenty of documentation and samples to back up development without missing a beat.

Where are the tools to help develop rapidly applications for the new HTML5?

How can it help you develop quickly a visually beautiful interface and game with powerful graphics and handle expensive dynamic data management without the need for external systems such as SQL and XML?

  3. xleo21 Says:

    thats strange my …
thats strange my laptop has integrated graphics and cant even run harry potter 6 on maximum graphics but it can have alot of flash content open with no problem

btw have you tried the flash player 10.1 beta , apparently its optimized for speed

  4. tuleo554 Says:

    you can with …
you can with Adobe’s own product!!!

Dreamweaver CS5, it’s called smart paste

  5. timabad Says:

    that looks like a …
that looks like a pain in the to make things.
why would a web designer use that?

  6. timabad Says:

I would like to be …
I would like to be able to convert flash to html 5 though.

  7. SSSavio Says:

I use it on windows …
I use it on windows, and on linux and i see flash running on mac os: it is everywhere. I can play Crysis on my laptop i have a very nice processor (T9300), 4 gb rams ddr3, HD 160gb 7200 rpm and nvidia 8600gt 256 mb ddr3 (DELL XPS). So, i can run crysis, but if i open three or for flash videos it starts to choke my machine. That is crazy.

  8. DJCarloh Says:

i didnt even see it …
i didnt even see it load, it was just loaded. lol

  9. chargersfan1111 Says:

    holy the whole …
holy the whole video loaded in like 5 secs lol

  10. xleo21 Says:

are you using a mac …
are you using a mac os or windows?
flash runs perfectly fine on my machine

  11. SSSavio Says:

    And i just forget …
And i just forget to talk about the huge amount of vulnerabilities and the fact that proprietary software is bad anyway.

  12. SSSavio Says:

    Yes because i don’t …
Yes because i don’t want to kill my supacomputer CPUs just to run two stupid flash applications.

  13. dtfageet Says:

    CSS sites are far …
CSS sites are far better than HTML ones. Don’t jump on the html5 train guys. HTML5 even stores a local SQL database about you on your computer! Do Not Trust It (DNTI)

    “they will be way …
“they will be way harder to create products using a markup language”

you misunderstand this point, although markup will be used to mark elements up (funny that) on the page the APIs are in JavaScript

It wouldn’t be difficult to write an application in a markup language it would be fundamentally impossible, another epic epic fail by our not so learned friend

and HTML5 will not BE native it IS native in that it’s supported directly by browsers

    seriously man just give up!

  18. xleo21 Says:

    flash will die but …
flash will die but not anytime soon

  19. xleo21 Says:

    your talking like …
your talking like flash will stay stationarry while html5 becomes mature enough to replace flash

dev tools for html5? im sure they will be but it wont help the fact that they will be way harder to create products using a markup language

html5 will be native but it will take a frikin huge amount of time for that to happen , note that microsoft also has silverlight (interest conflict)

so wait…you want to rewrite a whole app using a harder language?

  20. tuleo554 Says:

    I wouldn’t, no one …
    I wouldn’t, no one would, that’s the point ;)

that was just a comment in response to that fool xleo21 who keeps saying that HTML5 will never replace Flash. He’s so wrong!

  21. SSSavio Says:

Why do you want to …
Why do you want to convert html5 to flash?

  22. SOF006 Says:

    yep lol
    yep lol

  23. IamTheiPhone Says:

awesome! must admit though, I dont have a clue what the guys on about :P

  24. tuleo554 Says:

btw do you see any …
btw do you see any tools to convert HTML5 to Flash? No neither do I… Funny that, I wonder why…

    Can you say owned?

  25. tuleo554 Says:

for now that may be …
for now that may be the best option, I’m not denying that Adobe make great development tools so this way you get the best of both worlds, even you could be making HTML5 based apps with ease and everyone’s happy :)
