The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo: Livestock Show, Rodeo and Concert all for the price of one

January 25th, 2010 by admin

This is an event that has been a part of Houston for 77 years. The people of Houston know that this is an event the entire family can enjoy. This year things get started on March 1st and conclude on the 21st.

The Livestock Show is fun for all involved. You can see everything from the massive bulls to the timid little rabbits. This is a great place to see the youth of this country participate in an activity that is able to teach them responsibility. They learn how to take care of and train animals at a competitive level.

Next, there is also the regular season’s richest event on the PRCA’s schedule. This is an event that has a purse of $1.5 million. The competitors include the best cowboys and cowgirls in the world. They receive points that count toward the PRCA World Standing and help them qualify for the National Finals Rodeo. This is competition at the highest level.

If you paid the price of admission and only went to the first two events you would think you got more than your money’s worth. You would have missed 1/3 of the day’s events. There is a concert every night that alone is worth the cost of admission. This year names like Kenny Chesney and the Jonas Brothers are on the schedule. That is just two examples of the top names. They types of music are wide and varied. You can country one night and rock the next. Then you can hear hip hop the next night and latin music the night after that. This is a lineup that is unequaled.

So go to Houston Rodeo concert tickets and buy your tickets. You won’t find a better entertainment deal.
