A Photoshop CS3 tutorial on changing peoples hair colour. I assume it would work in previous versions as long as the same tools or similar tools are available.

You actually don’t need the magic wand tool if you’re using quick mask (Q); everything you’ve colored red should already be selected.

ohh i think you confused people with the mask mode, its called quick mask and you can access it by pressing Q on your keyboard and make sure you’re colors are black to transparent..hope i cleared things up. sweet vid**
