Yes. We weren’t born plastic, so why must we advertise Barbie-doll perfection? It screws over the lives of millions of people (including men), instills eating disorders, takes away confidence and in some cases result in suicide. It’s a lot more serious than people think. Dove has a petition if you feel this should stop, visit their website and stop the superficial broadcasting!

Photoshop can ruin lives. heck, what if a kid in a school got a pic of some girl and made her fatter in the pic, put it on facebook, and the girl was so upset about ppl laughing at her she commited suicide?

What I found …
What I found amazing is that in the few months we were having this food issue she craved sweet snacks. Before this issue and after we resolved it her favorite foods are broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower dipped in peanut butter. She still likes her sweet snacks but she doesn’t crave them.
What is wrong with us that we’re putting so much pressure on our kids to be perfect? Alright rant over. Any way I saw this video and it reminded me of that
I am not one of …
I am not one of those women who have issues with their body, but at five my daughter started coming home with all this crap about dieting. Not eating healthy, but dieting. It took months of constant talking to her before she got over it. (It was a substitute gym teacher who phrased it in a way that made her think she was fat).
She is not over weight and has never been over weight. She’s six and a tall size ten slim. I remind her every day how smart and beautiful she is.

the guy didn’t need to do much cuz that girl already had a great body.
Banning retouching? …
Banning retouching? I’d say it would be impossible…because the people on the covers would not be as pretty…and you might not buy the magazine. Media would just do it anyway…subtle retouching is hard to prove. This is done with music, also…the people you think can sing really can’t.
