Is it possible to change a html layout code to a php code?

I want to use wordpress on my website and apparently I need to change the coding to php?
Anyone know how to do this? I’m completely stuck! Thanks

If you have HTML + CSS files with no PHP code which you want to convert to a WordPress template, then you can’t just rename it to a .php extension. You need to put it into the right format for WordPress to understand. It’s reasonably easy but would be useful if you have had prior PHP experience.
I would suggest this tutorial:

If you dislike the tutorial there are many others available on the web, just search for them. If you’re new to PHP and WordPress it will probably be a little difficult at first and you may have to make several attempts before you make a theme which you are happy with.
